The series, which was filmed over the course of the summer on the 17,000-acre Doan's Black Leg Ranch, will examine the interesting rural lifestyle and hardy American traditions of this Prairie family.
The Doans, a close-knit family with a lot of charisma who have farmed this land for generations, are at the centre of it all. The Doans are real-life cowboys trying to make a living in the contemporary world. They are dressed in Stetsons and boots and round up the cattle with horses and lassos.
The series will show the calving season in full force, follow the family as they compete in small rodeos around North and South Dakota, see the massive operation that is the annual cattle-branding weekend, and more.
