ACORN TV EXCLUSIVE

'Charles Edwards and Rebecca Gibney perfectly paired as dry Louis and vibrant Daisy, who promises to put some rosé in his cheeks!' – What to Watch

'A fresh, witty drama bursting with dry humour...warm and enjoyable escapist fun' – The Sun

Get ready to toast the return of Under the Vines, the fresh, entertaining show full of dry wit and fruity undertones. The wonderful New Zealand set comedy-drama is back for its second series and will premiere on Monday, January 23, 2023, exclusively on Acorn TV. The first two episodes of the six-part series will premiere that day, with later episodes to follow weekly on Mondays.

This entertaining series follows an unlikely pairing of city slickers who inherit a failing vineyard in rural New Zealand. Rebecca Gibney (Wanted, Packed to the Rafters, Winter) returns as lovable socialite Daisy Monroe and Charles Edwards (The Lord of the Rings prequel, The Crown, Downton Abbey) is back as London lawyer Louis Oakley.

As Daisy comes to terms with her new life, Louis tries to repair his old one before returning to England. But ultimately, his marriage fails and he stays on to help Daisy run Oakley Wines. The partners in wine continue to navigate life in Peak View and its population of quirky locals and Machiavellian rivals. But, any chance of romance between the two is muddied when Daisy meets David (Kirk Torrance, Xena: Warrior Princess), the handsome local doctor...

Meanwhile, Oakley's young vintner Tippy (Trae Te Wiki) has her world shaken by the arrival of Shimmering Lake's new rockstar French vintner, Philippe Bidois, whom a rival winery hires – and he just happens to be her cousin.

Season 2 of Acorn TV's Under the Vines starts Monday, 23rd January
