Who Do You Think You Are? Returns to BBC One this June


BBC One's Who Do You Think You Are? returns in early June, as nine celebrities embark on a deeply personal journey to uncover unknown family ancestry and unexpected truths about their heritage.

From clog-wearing rope dancers and Scottish royalty to murder trials and tragic accidents, the celebrities travel across the UK and around the world to Ireland, the Netherlands, Canada, Jamaica, and Australia in pursuit of the truth behind their family stories.

Series 20 of the show promises astonishing revelations for the celebrities who have chosen to share their journeys with viewers. Andrew Lloyd Webber unearths uncanny parallels between his life and the lives of his ancestors, while Emily Atack discovers surprising connections to Ryan Reynolds and a football club. Claire Foy and Lesley Manville dive head-first into their family histories, uncovering stories worthy of any TV drama. Kevin Clifton and Dev Griffin travel overseas to trace their ancestors, with Kevin finding himself in remote Canada and Dev discovering personal records about his great grandparents in Jamaica. Chris Ramsey discovers some extraordinary survival stories and an ancestor who won a very unusual lottery, while twin doctors and presenters Chris and Xand van Tulleken make their Who Do You Think You Are? journey together, tracing their Dutch ancestry. Adventurer Bear Grylls is delighted to find a royal connection that leads him into the wild.
