Alice & Jack starring Andrea Riseborough & Domhnall Gleeson coming to Channel 4

Fremantle, in collaboration with Groundswell Productions, Me + You Productions, and De Maio Entertainment, has unveiled an exciting partnership with Channel 4 for an upcoming original drama series. This series comes from the creative mind of Victor Levin, an award-winning writer and film director known for his work on projects like "Mad Men" and "Mad About You." Titled "Alice & Jack," the show boasts a star-studded cast including Academy Award-nominated actress and producer Andrea Riseborough, renowned for her roles in "To Leslie" and "Birdman," as well as versatile actor, director, and screenwriter Domhnall Gleeson, acclaimed for his performances in "Brooklyn" and "The Revenant." Domhnall Gleeson's remarkable portrayal in "The Patient" earned him a well-deserved Golden Globe nomination. Supporting roles are taken up by Aisling Bea, recognized for her work in "Greatest Days" and "This Way Up," Aimee Lou Wood from "Sex Education" and "Living," and Sunil Patel, seen in "This Time with Alan Partridge" and "Stath Lets Flats."

Heading up the creative direction, Finnish film director and screenwriter Juho Kuosmanen, known for co-writing and directing the Cannes Grand Prix co-winner "Compartment 6" in 2021, assumes the lead directorial role. The second block of episodes will be helmed by Hong Khaou, renowned for directing "Lilting."

"Alice & Jack" is a collaborative effort between Fremantle, Me + You Productions (known for "I Am Ruth" and "Close to You," both of which earned BAFTA and Emmy awards), Groundswell Productions (Academy Award-nominated for "The Visitor"), and De Maio Entertainment. The global sales are being handled by Fremantle.

Conceived and penned by Victor Levin, "Alice & Jack" weaves a timeless love story. The initial encounter between Alice (Andrea Riseborough) and Jack (Domhnall Gleeson) forges an unbreakable bond, seemingly impervious to external forces. However, as their journey unfolds, the series delves into the intricate interplay of their emotions and the challenges that life presents. Unreservedly sincere, intimately crafted, and unexpectedly humorous, the show portrays love in all its multifaceted, vibrant, and ever-shifting beauty.
