Ready Eddie Go! narrated by Jodie Whittaker on Sky Kids screens on 15 September

Sky Kids is set to introduce a fresh Sky Original series, "Ready Eddie Go!" this week, with its premiere scheduled for September 15th. The series is narrated by none other than Jodie Whittaker, known for her role as Doctor Who.

"Ready Eddie Go!" centers around the adventures of Eddie, a 6-year-old with autism, as he embarks on various everyday real-life experiences for the very first time. Whether it's braving a trip to the barber or trying out an unfamiliar vegetable, the show captures these moments with a blend of fantasy and humor. Eddie relies on his vivid imagination throughout these escapades, with unwavering support from his family and friends. As he plays his way through these situations, he also learns valuable strategies to help him navigate similar challenges in the future.

The inspiration for this heartwarming series comes from the Eddie book series, authored by the acclaimed writer and mother, Nikki Saunders, who has a son with autism. Nikki is a significant figure in the Special Educational Needs (SEN) community and also serves as the Executive Producer for the show.

"Hocus Pocus Studio" contributes its animated magic to bring Eddie's world to life. They deliberately assembled a diverse neurodivergent team at every stage of production, from casting Grayson Davis as Eddie himself to including autistic writers and animators. This creative process is carefully overseen by clinical lead Dr. Claire Prosser, ensuring an authentic and inclusive portrayal of Eddie's experiences.

Ready Eddie Go! will be available on Sky Kids on demand from 15 September. The show will air on the Sky Kids linear channel (EPG 609) from 18 September.
