Esteemed entertainer and presenter Bradley Walsh is set to host the highly anticipated Royal Variety Performance 2023 at the iconic Royal Albert Hall in London. The event promises a night of glamour and entertainment, graced by the presence of members of the Royal Family.
Scheduled for December, this annual extravaganza will showcase a dazzling array of international stars, world-class theatre, sensational singers, and side-splitting comedy, making it a must-watch event of the year.
Headlining the stellar cast is the multi-award-winning and legendary superstar Cher, who will make a special appearance to perform a number from her enchanting new Christmas album. Adding to the magic, there will be an exclusive 100th Anniversary celebration from Disney Theatrical, featuring a mesmerizing medley with performances from the casts of beloved productions such as The Lion King, Frozen, Aladdin, Hercules, and Beauty & The Beast.
Other standout performers include pop rock band McFly, celebrating their 20th Anniversary, Glastonbury favorite Rick Astley, pop sensation Zara Larsson, Paloma Faith showcasing her latest single, and the phenomenal Hannah Waddingham, accompanied by the ENO chorus.
The evening will also feature a captivating collaboration between world-class pianist Lang Lang and fourteen-year-old Lucy, the remarkable winner of Channel 4's The Piano. Melanie C will pay a special tribute to theatre producer Bill Kenwright, and the cast of the groundbreaking West End musical The Little Big Things will take the stage with their extraordinary and inspirational true-life story.
Adding to the excitement, West End casts from Crazy For You and Sister Act, the award-winning Beverley Knight, the thrilling Argentinian dancing troupe Malevo, and a magical performance from Derren Brown's West End creation Unbelievable are set to enchant the audience. Not to be missed is the introduction of Britain's Got Talent winner, comedian Viggo Venn, and world-class stand-up from Tom Allen, Rosie Jones, Ellie Taylor, and Simon Brodkin.
The event will open with The Fanfare Trumpeters of The Band of the Welsh Guards leading the National Anthem, followed by the National Youth Choir.
