PopMaster TV, adapted from the iconic radio quiz with a 25-year legacy, pits five contestants against each other in six knockout rounds. The rounds cover various aspects of music knowledge, leading to the 'Original PopMaster' round, with the winner tackling a '3 in 10' for the chance to win the coveted PopMaster TV gold disc.

The first series of PopMaster TV, comprising six episodes, catapulted More4 to become the top digital channel on weekdays at 8 pm. It achieved an average audience of 760k, marking a substantial increase of +565% on slot average and +471% on audience share.

Ken Bruce expressed his excitement, stating, "After playing PopMaster on the radio for 25 years, it was a joy to work with Channel 4 and 12 Yard to finally bring it to TV screens earlier this year. PopMaster TV was brilliant fun, and I'm thrilled we get to do it again but with more than double the episodes to put even more music lovers, and some celebs, to the ultimate pop trivia test."

Jo Street, Channel 4's Head of Daytime and Features, expressed her delight at the show's success and its extended run. She praised the talented team, including Ken Bruce, Phil Swern, and 12 Yard Productions, for bringing the radio format to television and looked forward to competing with the next set of contestants in the quest to become a PopMaster TV champion.

Michael Mannes, Managing Director at 12 Yard Productions, shared his enthusiasm for the recommissioning of PopMaster TV. He highlighted the success of the first series and expressed eagerness to take the audience on an even longer musical journey. The second series is set to continue the collaboration with Ken Bruce and promises to find the next PopMaster TV champion. International distribution for PopMaster TV is handled by ITV Studios.
