In the Sports Presenter of the Year category, Laura's ITV colleagues, Mark Pougatch, who covers football and rugby, and Ed Chamberlin, the main presenter of ITV's racing events, were also nominated.
Laura, who continues to be the face of ITV's coverage for England Women's qualifying and friendly matches, as well as the FA Cup, expressed her gratitude for the supportive and creative environment at ITV. She thanked the dedicated production team for their hard work behind the scenes and considered them a crucial part of her success. Laura will be presenting the coverage of the FA Cup First Round match between Sheppey United and Walsall on Friday night, November 3, airing on ITV4 at 7 pm.
In addition to Laura's well-deserved award, ITV received multiple nominations at the event. They were nominated for Sports Broadcaster of the Year and Sports Content of the Year (Quadrennial) for their comprehensive coverage of the FIFA World Cup 2022. Seb Hutchinson received a nomination for Sport Commentator of the Year, recognizing his commentary work at both the women's and men's FIFA World Cups, England Women's internationals, and the FA Cup. Roy Keane was nominated for Pundit of the Year for his contributions as part of the ITV team covering the Qatar World Cup, FA Cup, and Community Shield. Additionally, Jason Bell and Osi Umenyiora received nominations in the same category for their roles on ITV's The NFL Show, with Jason's nomination also acknowledging his work on Sky's NFL coverage.
ITV's programs, Soccer Aid for UNICEF 2023 and Goodwood Revival, were also nominated in the Sport Entertainment Programme of the Year category.
