Christmas with Katherine Jenkins airs on BBC Two on Saturday 23 December

Katherine Jenkins OBE, acclaimed as the top-selling UK Classical Artist of the Century, is set to make a triumphant return to Wales for a dazzling Christmas concert broadcast on the BBC. The event, hosted at Swansea Arena for the first time, promises a festive spectacle filled with surprise duets, enchanting carols, heartwarming moments, and special guests.

Joining Katherine in this glittering celebration are notable figures such as Welsh acting royalty Michael Sheen, singer-songwriter Jack Savoretti, opera singer and Masterchef champion Wynne Evans, and pianist Chloe Flower. Katherine expresses her joy at performing in Swansea, her hometown, with some of the most talented individuals she knows, emphasizing the significance of the festive season in bringing people together.

In addition to the musical festivities, the program will feature Katherine's visit to Cardiff Royal Marines as a tribute to her commitment to the forces. The concert will also see a poignant moment as Katherine reflects on a life-changing experience at Tŷ Olwen Hospice, where her father passed away, paying homage to the hospice's remarkable work.

Conducted by Ken Burton, known for his work on "Black Panther" and recognized as the Gospel Singer of the Year at the BBC Proms, the concert will showcase a 31-piece band performing Katherine's beloved hits, festive Christmas carols, and audience favorites.

"Christmas with Katherine Jenkins" is scheduled to air on BBC Two and BBC One in Wales on Saturday, December 23, at 7:10 pm. The production is handled by Afanti for BBC Wales, with Julian Carey serving as the commissioning editor for BBC Wales and Emyr Afan and Medwyn Parri as executive producers.
