Emma Willis to Style it Out

Get ready for a dazzling display of creativity and sustainable fashion in the all-new TV show, "Style It Out," hosted by the fabulous Emma Willis. Premiering on CBBC and BBC iPlayer from Wednesday, January 10, this exciting series follows the journey of nine fashion-forward kids from across the UK as they compete in a styling contest that places sustainability at its core.

Filmed in the eco-conscious Sky Blue Studio in Coventry, these young designers will take center stage, using pre-loved clothes, vintage finds, and rescued materials to upcycle and embellish their one-of-a-kind outfits. Celebrating individuality and imagination, "Style It Out" promises a platform for these budding fashionistas to let their creativity soar.

Presented in three episodes per week, with the Winner's Story concluding on Wednesday, February 7, the series brings together a dynamic judging panel. Resident judges Ayishat Akanbi and Jorge Antonio, along with weekly celebrity judges like Gok Wan, Katya Jones, and others, will join Emma Willis in critiquing the contestants' innovative creations.

"Style It Out" challenges fashion norms and stereotypes while encouraging the contestants to design for all shapes and sizes. Throughout the series, participants will tackle various challenges, from crafting red-carpet outfits to smaller, intricate customizations, with weekly themes like Prom, Halloween, and Animals adding an extra layer of creativity.

Two contestants will secure spots in the final, and a wildcard entry will join them, ensuring a showcase of originality and resourcefulness. In the final showdown, the top three will compete to create the most incredible sustainable and creative outfits, vying for the opportunity to showcase their talents at the prestigious London Fashion Week.

Emma Willis expresses her excitement, calling "Style It Out" a passion project that provides a platform for the next generation of stylists and fashion designers. She highlights the show's emphasis on individuality and creative flair, all with sustainability in mind.

Patricia Hidalgo, Director of BBC Children's and Education, describes "Style It Out" as a celebration of creativity, individuality, and sustainability, showcasing the limitless potential of young designers. The series aims to inspire audiences to get involved, have fun, and upcycle their own runway-ready pieces.

Lisa Hazlehurst, Head of Lion Television Scotland and Executive Producer, shares the joy of producing this uplifting and inspirational series. She commends the talent and hard work of the young designers, expressing confidence that their creativity will inspire the CBBC audience to get creative.
