In an announcement, Sky has disclosed additional casting details for the highly anticipated second series of the Sky Original comedy-drama, Funny Woman. As the production gears up in Liverpool and throughout the Northwest of England, viewers can expect an even more star-studded and uproarious season. The forthcoming series is scheduled to make its debut later this year on both Sky Max and the streaming service NOW.
Returning for series two is the charismatic Gemma Arterton, known for her roles in The King's Man and Summerland, reprising her role as the beloved comedian Sophie Straw. Joining her are talented actors Steve Zissis (The Changeling, Togetherness), Marcus Rutherford (The Wheel of Time, Obey), Tim Key (The Witchfinder, This Time with Alan Partridge), Gemma Whelan (Game of Thrones, The Tower), and Roisin Conaty (GameFace, Man Down).
The familiar faces from the first season making a comeback include Arsher Ali as Dennis Mohindra, David Threlfall as George Parker, Rosie Cavaliero as Aunt Marie Parker, and Alexa Davies as Marjorie Harrison.
