Exciting New Casting Revealed for "The Day of the Jackal" Series

Sky and Peacock have unveiled the latest additions to the star-studded cast of their upcoming original series, "The Day of the Jackal," promising a contemporary twist on the classic thriller.

Joining the previously announced Eddie Redmayne and Lashana Lynch are several notable names, including Úrsula Corberó of "Money Heist" fame. Corberó will portray Nuria, a character intricately linked to Redmayne's enigmatic assassin, The Jackal. Also announced are Charles Dance, Richard Dormer, Chukwudi Iwuji, Lia Williams, Khalid Abdalla, Eleanor Matsuura, Jonjo O'Neill, and Sule Rimi, each bringing their own flair to the ensemble.

Based on Frederick Forsyth's renowned novel and the acclaimed 1973 film adaptation, the 10-part series is a collaboration between Carnival Films, Sky Studios, and Peacock. Ronan Bennett, creator of "Top Boy," leads the adaptation, with Brian Kirk of "Game of Thrones" and "Luther" fame helming the directorial duties.

Executive producers include Gareth Neame, Nigel Marchant, Eddie Redmayne, and Lashana Lynch, ensuring a high-caliber production. With Sky Studios and Peacock backing the project, "The Day of the Jackal" promises to captivate audiences on both sides of the Atlantic.
