With first-look images released ahead of its launch on BBC One and BBC iPlayer later this year, viewers are in for another gripping ride through the emotional complexities of British policing.

Written by the acclaimed Tony Schumacher, the series boasts a stellar ensemble cast led by Martin Freeman, who reprises his role as Chris, alongside Adelayo Adedayo, MyAnna Buring, Warren Brown, and more. The new images offer a tantalizing glimpse into the lives of Chris, Rachel, Marco, and Casey as they navigate the challenges of life on the front lines of law enforcement. Set against the backdrop of Liverpool, "The Responder" promises to delve even deeper into the emotional highs and lows of policing, blending dark humor with gut-wrenching drama.

The first series of "The Responder" garnered critical acclaim and six BAFTA nominations, along with an International Emmy win, solidifying its status as one of the most compelling dramas of recent years. With a global audience of over 9.6 million viewers and distribution in over 195 territories, the series struck a chord with audiences worldwide.

Produced by Fremantle's Dancing Ledge Productions, the series is directed by Jeanette Nordahl, Mounia Akl, and Charlotte Regan, with Barrington Robinson serving as producer. Executive producers Laurence Bowen, Chris Carey, and Toby Bruce bring their expertise to the project, alongside BBC executive producer Rebecca Ferguson.

With filming already underway in and around Liverpool, "The Responder" series two is poised to deliver another gripping and thought-provoking exploration of life on the frontline of policing.
