Beauty And The Geek - Episode 7 Summary

The show began with the entrance of Josh and Cher, who were the survivors of last episode's challenge. Afterwards, the remaining three teams began discussing their strategy for the remainder of the challenge. Most felt Cher was a strong opponent, and decided they needed a game plan if they were to win in the end.

Next up, this week's challenges were revealed. The beauties were informed they would be tested on geography and maps. The geeks were told that their challenge involved maps too: the map to a woman's heart. Each contestant was also given a box, with instructions inside regarding its contents. The teams were then sent off to study for the rest of the day.

One by one the team members began to open their boxes. Within the boxes they found materials to make a home movie. They were told the topic of the movie would be what they had learned in the house since their arrival, and specifically what they had learned from their teammate.

Later in the day the beauties began to study up on their geography skills. The geeks were briefed by their beauty teammates on diamonds, jewelry, and other things they felt would win over a woman's heart. Josh eventually became frustrated with Cher who insisted on working on her tan instead of studying with him.

That evening the teams were told to meet in the library after dinner. Everyone ate quickly so they could see the surprise in store for them. Afterwards, they each watched the videos they had made for each other earlier in the day. Tears were shed, and hugs were exchanged. In the end, Cher commented that Josh's tape was the best gift she had ever received.

The next morning the teams were taken to an unfamiliar location in Los Angeles. They were told they would need to work together in order to succeed in the day's challenge. While the geeks turned their backs, the beauties selected items from a gift catalog that they would like to have. Afterwards, the geeks turned around again and the detailed challenge instructions were given. The geeks would be required to go to the stores their beauties selected products from and find those specific products. Inside each gift would be directions to the next store location. The catch: the beauties would have to do the navigating, using the skills they learned from their study materials. The ground rules were, the guys could not help the beauties with directions, and the beauties had to stay in the car while the geeks went in to find the items the beauties had selected from each store. The winner of this challenge would secure their place in the final competition. And then they were off on their journey!

Jennipher struggled with directions, eventually to the point where her team's SUV pulled over to the side of the road for quite some time. Josh and Cher were the first to arrive at their first location. Within five minutes of entering the store, Josh found the shoes Cher had selected. Next up, Joe found the first store. Unfortunately, he had a very difficult time finding the right pair of shoes Brittany had selected. An hour later, Jennipher and Ankur still sat in the same spot, no closer to their destination than they were in the beginning. Bottom line: they were lost.

Once again, Josh was first to arrive at the second location. In no time he found the purse Cher had selected. Up next was Joe. He entered the store and found the purse Brittany selected. Josh and Joe were now running neck-in-neck. Ankur, however, had not yet even arrived at the first location. Unfortunately, Cher became disoriented when looking for their third location. She exited the car with Josh following her. Both were completely lost. Eventually, after jumping out of the car and tripping up a flight of stairs, Josh arrived at the third location. He couldn't find the item Cher had selected, however. Shortly after Joe arrived and ran up the stairs. The challenge was then neck in neck. As Josh left, Joe arrived and immediately found his item. Joe ran back to the SUV. And then the two teams were off, in very close proximity to each other. Ankur and Jennipher, however, had still not even found the first location.

Both teams became very anxious as they approached the final location, the Beauty & The Geek mansion. Josh and Cher were the first to arrive, thus securing their place in the house for the final round. They cheered and hugged. A few moments later, Joe and Brittany arrived. As night approached, Jennipher and Ankur were just beginning to find their locations. Disappointed and upset, they finally made it back to the house late in the evening.

Over dinner that evening, Jennipher told Cher how people in the house had felt about her throughout the challenge. Cher seemed to understand and admitted there are things she will work on in the future. That evening Joe & Brittany and Ankur & Jennipher packed their bags and prepared for the elimination room.

In the room, each contestant was asked three questions. The beauties were the first to begin, with questions pertaining to geography. In the end, Brittany went three for three, taking the win.

Next up the Geeks entered the room. Although it was very close, Joe took the win for his team. With this win, the final competition had been set with Joe & Brittany and Josh & Cher going head to head in the final challenge.

Don't miss next week's Season Finale episode. In the season finale, only two teams remain. Throughout the series, each contestant was forced to test their weakness but now have the opportunity to showcase one of their strengths, including fly fishing and ice skating. While in the elimination room, the remaining contestants are tested on how well they know their partner, resulting in the winning team sharing the grand prize of $250,000.
