Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games

Nintendo DS

Our Review

Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games, who would have thunk it, the two biggest stars of the console wars are fighting it out in classic track and field events.

And this game does take a subtle nod at the classic arcade game Track & Field. Unlike the excellent Wii version, the NDS version relys on a mixture of touch screen controls as well as joypad controls.

The speed games like running, swimming etc require you to quickly move the stylus back and forth across the bottom screen to build up your speed, the faster you do it the better.

It is quite easy to get yourself a world record which is quite satisfying for a noobie like me.

The game does have its problems and it is not perfect, but it is still a great game, and a great addition to any NDS games collection, my favourite event has to be the shooting, it really does take practise to be good, and a quick eye to get a top score.

I would give this game the following scores

Graphics 9/10
Audio 8/10
Gameplay 8/10
Longevity 8/10
Overall 8/10
