Who is Abraham?
What is he, that Gary M. commends him?

We know it's inspired because Jayn Lee Miller, Angel Healing specialist and author of the "Ask the Angels" column in Take a Break magazine, tells us so. The presence of Joshua and Young Moses in Pattie's Gallery may give you a clue as to Abraham's identity, although her inclusion of Sai Baba (http://www.skepdic.com/saibaba.html) in this august company is a little worrying.
We know from the frequent mention of Abraham on various sites and forums that he is Gary's spiritual guide, the entity who acts through him to diagnose and heal illness. Yet I haven't been able to find a single internet reference to what must surely be the most amazing fact about Gary's spiritual guide - that he is the Abraham of Old Testament fame!
According to a casual remark made by Gary during his "demonstration of psychic surgery" at St James' Church on 4th February, this is how he discovered that he was working with the man revered in Judaism, Christianity and Islam:
When Gary was first informed that his spiritual guide was called Abraham he naturally wanted to find out more. For reasons which will probably have to remain mysterious to those of us lost in spiritual darkness, instead of simply asking Abraham for a few biographical details Gary turned to the internet and Googled "ABRAHAM". Needless to say this turned up an embarasse des riches of images, one of whom Gary recognised as his spiritual guide. Yes, it was none other than the Biblical Abraham! Did Gary make up this amazing tale on the spur of the moment, a site-specific fantasy for a Christian church? And what does the Rector of St James', the Revd. Charles Hedley, think about it?
I wonder if the Indigo Kid's web-trawl came up with another grey-bearded, patriarchal Abraham with Indigo(ish) friends...
It has to be said that the Biblical Abraham did have a rather tenuous connection with surgery, albeit of the knife-wielding, non-psychic variety. He circumcised his son Isaac (Genesis 21:4). Far more dramatically, when God tested Abraham's faith by ordering him to sacrifice Isaac (Genesis 22:2-13) only the timely intervention of an angel stopped him from cutting the boy's throat, a scene popular with artists:
The Old Testament has very little to say regarding the nature of the afterlife, but according to Gary's Abraham it's exactly like the happy-ever-after family reunion promised by spiritualists and New Agers:

From what Abraham has told me when you die you will firstly end up in a place similar to where you died. E.g at home, In hospital. This is so you do not immeditely have a huge shock and turn away from spirits help. Which can make spirits become lost in Limbo. With the assection man should become more aware which will make the transition much more smooth.

Assection"? Gary is referring to the "Ascension" of 2012, a currently popular bit of New Age nonsense based on a misunderstanding of the Mayan Calendar. Apparently the world will end or undergo some sort of metaphysical transformation in 2012. I have no idea why Abraham is pushing the Mayan agenda, unless it's something to do with the human sacrifice incident.
Gary is also the "founder" of the Abraham Body Energy Healing Method (

However because there are so many different varieties of healing each perfectly capable of complementing each other yet limited on it’s own, people are finding their still not completely healed and thus turn to Medical Science to pump them full of chemicals which has such a horrific effect on the Body that the body feels fine yet is receiving more damage. Body Energy’s aim wishes to change this limited pattern, which is seen over and over again. Thus allowing the client to receive a full healing which is giving the client aspects of all the different healing methods mentioned! As, and when they need it.
While learning Body Energy basic you will learn how to be a channel and use the tools, which are the foundations of Healing. Once you have these foundations out of the way you can then go on to tailor make the different fields you will specify in. Most of the training you will receive and the way you will finally go on to do the healing will come from practise and experience and won’t be covered during these lessons. The reasons for this is because each individual works in their own unique way and you will have things spirit want to teach you to help you develop your own unique way as and when you are ready.
Through body energy we work very much on the understanding that everything is energy in one shape/form or another. Some energies affect us in a positive way, whereas some effect us in a negative way. Throughout Body Energy you will gain an understanding of these different energies there effects and how to use them in your everyday life or how to make sure that they do not effect your every day life.
With Body Energy we are not just looking to solve the problem but also to find out what has caused it, why it has been caused and what we can do to stop it effecting us again or the ones we love, so understanding and Psychic Development is also a big part of the learning process. Or else we are doomed to keep repeating the cycles because we do not understand how to put them to an end.
Our long term Goal with Body Energy is to have a society big enough and well enough supported to have centres where people can actually come and get healed for any and all ailments. All this and much much more are on offer within body energy. I am not trying to offer any false pretences that this is an answer to all our questions and worries. It is simply a way for us to practically take a step forward. The job of Body Energy is to make life simpler and happier for all involved. On all Levels and also to bring to light certain things that are often over looked or forgotten from time to time.
So in plain English ABE Healing is simply a grab-bag, miscellany or - and I've waited for ages to use this lovely word -
gallimaufry of the best-known New Age therapies. Notice the utterly meaningless use of the word
energy, the denigration of medical science for pumping people full of those horrid chemicals (Gary, EVERYTHING is made of chemicals), the assurance that he isn't in it for the money and the all-too-familiar disclaimer.
