From Firecracker Films, the makers of Big Fat Gypsy Weddings, A Very British Party is a joyous series celebrating some of the country’s weirdest and most wonderful people at their happiest… in the build up to the biggest party of their lives!
Everyone loves a party – it’s when friends and loved ones get together to celebrate a birthday, a wedding or just life in general. And we Brits know how to throw a party and hardly need an excuse, but the weirder, more extraordinary the reason the bigger the party is.
And that’s where A Very British Party comes in. Following people from different subcultures, races and religions, we’ll follow the planning and the stresses involved and then have a front row seat when the party actually kicks off.
Along the way, we’ll meet Diane, who’s planning a wing walk for her 50th birthday celebration; drag queens Amber and Bella getting to grips with an extra special birthday party; Chanel’s burlesque extravaganza; Ian and Rich’s gay hen do; Louise’s dog celebration party; and Warwick’s nudist dinner party.
There’ll be ups and downs along the way, but one thing’s for sure – whatever shape, size, colour or creed, these Great Brits fight for their right to party!
