Death is a part of life and something we all have to stare in the face at some point in our lives. But for Megan Hunt, death has helped to breathe new life into her career.
Megan was once a high-flying neurosurgeon, who now works in Philadelphia's Medical Examiner's Office after a car accident abruptly ended her neurosurgery career. As a Medical Examiner, Megan applies her vast medical knowledge, keen instincts and variously charming and scalpel-like personality to the task of solving the medical mysteries of the dead and bringing the people responsible for their deaths to justice.
But it’s not just the operating table where Megan has to fight to stay one step ahead of the game – she not only takes on the establishment and killers, but also tries to stay sane after the breakup of her marriage and her estrangement from her young daughter.
This hit US forensics series stars Desperate Housewives’ Dana Delany as Megan, and sees her use forensics to get to the bottom of some grisly murders, strange medical phenomena and intriguing causes of death. Her team includes Dr Kate Murphy (Star Trek: Voyager’s Jeri Ryan,) and Detective Samantha Baker (The Wire’s Sonja Sohn).
Dana Delany Bio:

After Body of Proof was picked up by ABC, Delany reportedly chose her white coat over a new series with the housewives on Wisteria Lane.
Dana’s successful TV, film and theatre career has spanned over two decades and she supports both medical and political causes. Born in New York City in 1956 and raised in Stamford, Connecticut, she has never married and remains extremely close to her family and sister Corey.
