As soon as he made a headlining guest appearance on MasterChef Australia, master patissier Adriano Zumbo became one of the most talked about food stars in the southern hemisphere. With signature dishes like macaroon croquembouche and the V8 cake (an eight-layer vanilla cake), Adriano now brings his extraordinary skills to a wider audience with an ob-doc that follows his every move in the kitchen.

Throughout the series we’ll get an insight into Adriano’s busy life as one of Australia’s leading dessert and pastry chefs. We’ll see Adriano creating over 60 new flavours of his signature dish – macaroons – in just five days and turn his Balmain kitchen upside down to create the largest ever range of these French almond fancies Australia has even seen. In this daunting task, Adriano and his team create flavours ranging from pigs blood and chocolate, to hamburger and 23 carat-edible-gold.

Adriano will also return to his family roots for the first time in five years. His travels home to Coonamble in New South Wales but finds his hometown is flooded. The show must go on – Adriano and two of his staff must cater for one of the biggest events of the year, his dad’s birthday.
