Apple TV+ Unveils First Look at "Disclaimer" Premiering October 11, 2024

Apple TV+ has just released an exciting first look at its upcoming limited series "Disclaimer" and announced that the highly anticipated seven-episode psychological thriller will make its global debut on Friday, October 11, 2024. The series will kick off with a two-episode premiere, followed by new episodes released weekly every Friday until November 15, 2024.

"Disclaimer" promises to captivate audiences with its intense storyline and stellar cast. The series stars Academy Award winners Cate Blanchett and Kevin Kline, and is written and directed by the acclaimed Alfonso Cuarón, a five-time Academy Award winner known for his exceptional storytelling in films like "Gravity" and "Roma." Based on Renée Knight's bestselling novel, "Disclaimer" delves into the harrowing journey of a renowned journalist whose darkest secrets are laid bare.

Blanchett takes on the role of Catherine Ravenscroft, an esteemed journalist celebrated for her investigative work exposing the wrongdoings of others. Her life takes a terrifying turn when she receives a mysterious novel from an anonymous author, only to find herself as the main character in a narrative that unveils her most guarded secrets. As Catherine embarks on a desperate quest to uncover the identity of the writer, she must confront her past before it shatters her life and the relationships she holds dear, including those with her husband Robert (played by Sacha Baron Cohen) and their son Nicholas (Kodi Smit-McPhee).

The ensemble cast further enriches the series, featuring talents such as Lesley Manville, Louis Partridge, Leila George, and Hoyeon. With such a remarkable lineup, "Disclaimer" is set to deliver a powerful and gripping viewing experience.

The production of "Disclaimer" boasts an impressive team behind the scenes. Produced by Esperanto Filmoj and Anonymous Content, the series sees Alfonso Cuarón also serving as an executive producer alongside Gabriela Rodriguez (Esperanto Filmoj) and David Levine and Steve Golin (Anonymous Content). Renée Knight, the author of the original novel, is involved as a co-executive producer. The visual storytelling is enhanced by the work of Academy Award winner Emmanuel Lubezki and nominee Bruno Delbonnel, who serve as directors of photography and executive producers. Adding to the series' allure, the score is composed by the celebrated Finneas O'Connell, known for his award-winning work on projects like "Barbie" and "No Time to Die."
