Earlier this year, E4 launched Love Triangle, a bold new dating experiment that shattered traditional matchmaking concepts and captured the attention of reality TV fans across the UK. Now, the show is back for a second season, promising even more twists, drama, and surprises. Produced by Workerbee, a Banijay UK company, this 10-part series will once again push the boundaries of modern romance as six new singles take on a wildly unpredictable journey to find love.
Love Triangle is unlike any other dating show. It throws out the endless swipe culture of dating apps, asking participants (known as pickers) to make a life-changing decision after connecting with two potential matches (the suitors) through nothing but text messages. After selecting one match based solely on those messages, the picker and their chosen suitor meet for the first time and immediately take a huge leap, moving in together. But that's just the beginning of the drama.
The twist comes when the suitor who was initially rejected makes a surprise return, completing the titular Love Triangle. Now, the picker is faced with an entirely new challenge, living and dating with both suitors at the same time. For the duration of the experiment, all three must navigate the complexities of their evolving relationships, creating a roller coaster of emotions, tension, and unexpected connections. At the end of the process, each picker must make one final, heart-wrenching decision: who will they choose to be with, and who will they leave behind?
With its radical format, Love Triangle doesn't shy away from exploring the messier side of modern romance. By throwing people into intense, high-stakes situations, the show forces participants to confront their deepest desires and insecurities. And, as with any great reality TV, viewers can expect explosive confrontations, tender moments of vulnerability, and shocking twists at every turn.
Lee McMurray, Commissioning Editor at Channel 4, expressed excitement for the return of the show: "Following the impressive streaming performance of its debut run, I'm delighted to be treating E4 viewers to a second series of Love Triangle. I can't wait to see how a fresh batch of singles navigate this unique, three-way dating experiment, and what their stories will deliver in terms of the romance, drama, and dilemmas our audience love."
Ben Mitchell of Workerbee added: "We are thrilled to be producing a new series of this premium reality dating format. Filmed in the vibrant city of Manchester, this new series will offer even more drama and emotional twists. In Love Triangle, there are always three sides to every story!"
The success of Love Triangle can be attributed in part to its creators, the same producers behind Married at First Sight Australia, another hit format from Banijay's Endemol Shine Australia and 9Network. This international pedigree has helped the show gain traction in other markets, with Finland adapting its own version of the format through Banijay Finland.
As casting opens for the 2025 season, hopeful singles are invited to apply for their chance to take part in what could be the most intense, and rewarding, dating experiment of their lives.
Will this unique approach to finding love result in more happily-ever-afters? Or will the pressures of dating two people at once prove too much for these singles to handle? One thing is certain: viewers can expect a thrilling ride, full of romance, heartbreak, and plenty of drama, when Love Triangle returns to E4 and Channel 4 next year.
Casting is now open for singles looking to take part in this wild journey. Interested applicants can apply here: Love Triangle Casting. https://shortaudition.com/LoveTriangle
