The build-up to a new Premier League season always has its own buzz, but this year Sky Sports has added a little extra edge by giving the intro a fresh soundtrack. Kasabian have reworked their track G.O.A.T with Cristale, turning it into a high-energy anthem that's set to front Sky's football coverage from the 2025/26 season onwards. It's a bold, upbeat choice, and you can tell it's been made to grab attention before a ball is even kicked. Serge Pizzorno, who's never hidden his love for the game, has given the song a new twist that blends Kasabian's trademark sound with Cristale's sharp, modern energy.
Sky and Kasabian have history, of course. Club Foot was the soundtrack to the 2009/10 season and quickly became a bit of a classic for football intros. This new track feels like a natural successor, especially with the opening game being Liverpool against Bournemouth at Anfield on August 15. As a Liverpool fan, that's the perfect place to launch it. The timing also lines up with Sky's biggest broadcast deal yet, showing 215 games over the next four years, plus more in-depth coverage than ever before. The song itself lands on Spotify just before the opener, so fans can get in the mood early. It's got the pace, the swagger and just enough bite to feel like it belongs at the start of something big.
