Channel 4 is set to explore the fascinating world of hormonal health with The Hormone Fix, a one-off factual special fronted by actor, author and wellbeing advocate Davinia Taylor.

Produced by Little Bird Films, the 60-minute programme will see Davinia investigate the important role hormones play in our everyday lives, examining how they can influence everything from sleep, stress and mood to appetite and energy levels. While hormones are something we rarely give much thought to, their impact on our overall wellbeing is considerable, and the programme promises to uncover just how much they can affect the way we feel and function.

Meeting leading experts alongside contributors with personal experience of hormonal health issues, Davinia will explore the science behind the subject while looking at practical ways to better understand our bodies. Along the way, she will investigate emerging wellness approaches and discover useful insights that viewers may be able to incorporate into their own daily routines.

Combining scientific expertise with personal stories and Davinia's natural curiosity, The Hormone Fix aims to make what can often be a complicated subject both accessible and engaging. Rather than simply explaining how hormones work, the programme hopes to encourage viewers to take a closer look at their own wellbeing habits and develop a better understanding of the processes taking place inside their bodies.

With growing interest in the connection between hormonal health and everyday wellbeing, The Hormone Fix looks set to offer an intriguing and potentially eye-opening exploration of a subject that affects us all.

Davinia Taylor said: "We're told to accept feeling tired, stressed, foggy and out of sorts as a normal part of life, especially as we get older. I don't buy that. Hormones affect so much more than people realise, and I want to explore what happens when we start paying attention to them. Hormones make us feel happy and safe and bring us joy and love. If this programme gets people asking more questions and feeling more in control of their health, then that's a win."

The Hormone Fix will air on Channel 4 next year.
