Tom Hiddleston Returns for Two New Series of The Night Manager with Star-Studded Cast

The BBC and Prime Video have officially announced the addition of new cast members joining Tom Hiddleston for the eagerly anticipated return of The Night Manager. Following the success of the first series, which garnered multiple BAFTAs, Emmy Awards, and Golden Globes, two new series are set to continue the story of Jonathan Pine, the enigmatic night manager played by Hiddleston.

The new cast includes Diego Calva, known for his roles in Babylon and Narcos: Mexico, and Emmy Award nominee Camila Morrone from Daisy Jones & The Six. They will be joined by Indira Varma (Obsession, Obi-Wan Kenobi), Paul Chahidi (Wicked Little Letters, The Serpent Queen), and Hayley Squires (Adult Material, Beau Is Afraid).

Produced by The Ink Factory, in association with Character 7, Demarest Films, and 127 Wall, and co-produced with Spanish partner Nostromo Pictures, the new series will premiere on BBC One and BBC iPlayer in the UK. Globally, the series will be available on Prime Video, thanks to a distribution deal handled by FIFTH SEASON.

Inspired by John le Carré's best-selling novel, the second series of The Night Manager will be written by the original show creator David Farr and directed by BAFTA-winning director Georgi Banks-Davies (I Hate Suzie, Paper Girls). Tom Hiddleston reprises his role as Jonathan Pine, picking up the story eight years after the explosive finale of the first series.

Georgi Banks-Davies expressed her excitement about the new series, stating, "I wrote my dream list of actors to join The Night Manager, and I can't quite believe that I am now welcoming that list of talent to the show. The first series of The Night Manager was a phenomenal success, watched by over 10 million viewers in the UK and acclaimed for its gripping narrative and stellar performances. The new series promises to build on this legacy, with David Farr returning as the creator and executive producer. Johnson for Demarest Films, Nick Cornwell, Susanne Bier, Chris Rice for FIFTH SEASON, and Gaynor Holmes for the BBC.
