Apple TV+ has shared a first look at Mr. Scorsese, a five-part documentary from director Rebecca Miller, which will premiere globally on 17 October. The preview offers an intimate glimpse into the life and work of one of cinema's most celebrated filmmakers, giving viewers rare access to Martin Scorsese and his close circle of friends. In the clip, Scorsese and fellow directors, including Steven Spielberg, recall the tense battle over the director's cut of Taxi Driver, and the extraordinary measures taken to preserve it. The film went on to become one of his most iconic works, but it seems it came close to never making it past the editing room in its original form.

The series traces Scorsese's creative journey from his earliest student films at New York University to the present day, exploring how his personal history and life experiences shaped his artistic voice. It also delves into the recurring themes in his work, such as the constant pull between good and evil in human nature. Through candid conversations and unseen moments, Mr. Scorsese promises a deep and personal portrait of a director whose films have consistently challenged, surprised and captivated audiences around the world.

ITV2 and ITVX have announced a new six-part reality series, Olivia & Alex: Parenthood, following Love Island favourites Olivia and Alex Bowen as they embrace the next stage of their lives. Produced by Angel Eye Media, the series will air later this year and offers a close look at their journey as they prepare to welcome a new baby, growing their family from three to four.

The couple will open up about the highs and lows of family life, including the emotional impact of losing one of their twins early in pregnancy. Viewers can expect their familiar mix of humour, openness and social media-ready style, with cameras capturing everything from pregnancy moods and toddler meltdowns to house renovations, business ventures and rare date nights between feeds.

Commissioning Editor Amanda Stavri said the Bowens' story is "funny, emotional and totally relatable", while executive producer Ollie Durrant praised their warmth and authenticity. Olivia & Alex: Parenthood will be available on ITV2 and ITVX later this year.
