Sky has revealed a first look at its upcoming original drama, Under Salt Marsh, starring Kelly Reilly and Rafe Spall. The six-part series, set in the fictional Welsh town of Morfa Halen, is coming to Sky and streaming service NOW in 2026.
Kelly Reilly, known for Yellowstone and Pride & Prejudice, plays Jackie Ellis, a former detective turned teacher who uncovers a shocking clue that reopens a three-year-old cold case. Rafe Spall (Trying, Life of Pi) stars as Detective Eric Bull, Jackie's estranged former partner, who must reunite with her as the investigation draws them into the town's hidden tensions.
Created, written and directed by Claire Oakley (Make Up), the series begins as a once-in-a-generation storm rolls in from the sea, threatening to erase evidence and complicate the investigation. As Jackie and Eric dig deeper, they confront a community fractured by grief and haunted by long-buried secrets.
The supporting cast includes Naomi Yang (Chimerica), Jonathan Pryce (The Crown), Dinita Gohil (Treason), Brian Gleeson (Bad Sisters), Kimberley Nixon (Queenie), and Harry Lawtey (Industry). Under Salt Marsh promises to combine tense, atmospheric crime storytelling with a detailed exploration of resilience and community.
