Sky has revealed plans for Gucci – Fine dei Giochi (working title), a fresh Italian Sky Original that promises an inside look at one of fashion's most famous dynasties. Cameras are set to roll in spring 2026 with Gabriele Muccino directing, the filmmaker behind The Last Kiss, The Pursuit of Happyness and There Is No Place Like Home.
The series will chart the rise of the Gucci family and the cracks that eventually tore it apart. Told across different time periods, it follows how a small leather workshop grew into a powerhouse brand that defined Italian style for decades. Behind the glamour sits a story of ambition, jealousy and betrayal, ending with the murder of Maurizio Gucci, a crime that marked the end of the family's control over the empire.
At the heart of the drama are two women whose lives shaped and were shaped by the Gucci name. Patrizia Reggiani, who married Maurizio and was later convicted of arranging his killing, and their daughter Allegra, who has spent years trying to piece together her family's past and make sense of the tragedy. Their perspectives drive a story about power, legacy and the cost of fame.
Written by Isabella Aguilar, Flaminia Gressi and Muccino, the show draws on Allegra Gucci's memoir Fine dei giochi Luci e ombre sulla mia famiglia. Produced by Sky Studios and Lucky Red, it promises a gripping mix of glamour, rivalry and the human flaws behind one of the world's most recognisable fashion houses.
