The trailer for season three of Silo teases a widening of the story’s scope, bringing together the present day struggle inside the underground silo with events set long before it was ever built. The series, created by Emmy Award winner Graham Yost, who also serves as showrunner and executive producer, continues to centre Rebecca Ferguson, who stars and also executive produces.
The 10-episode third season will premiere on Apple TV on 3 July 2026, with the first episode followed by weekly releases every Friday through 4 September 2026. Based on Hugh Howey’s New York Times bestselling trilogy, the new season expands the dystopian world of 10,000 people living deep underground under tightly controlled and mysterious conditions.
In the present timeline, Juliette Nichols, played by Rebecca Ferguson, survives her forced cleaning but returns changed, suffering from memory loss. As the silo itself begins to recover from rebellion, a new and dangerous threat emerges, pushing the fragile system towards further instability.
Alongside this, the story moves into the “Before Times”, where journalist Helen Drew, played by Jessica Henwick, and Congressman Daniel Keene, played by Ashley Zukerman, uncover a conspiracy that sets off a chain of events with catastrophic and irreversible consequences. This parallel narrative adds a historical layer that reframes what the silo really is and how it came to exist.
The ensemble cast returning alongside Ferguson includes Common, Harriet Walter, Chinaza Uche, Avi Nash, Alexandria Riley, Shane McRae, Remmie Milner, Rick Gomez, Billy Postlethwaite and Clare Perkins. New additions for the season include Zukerman and Henwick, both appearing following their roles in the season two finale, along with Laura Innes, Jessica Brown Findlay, Morven Christie, Reed Birney and Matt Craven, with Colin Hanks set to recur and Steve Zahn also returning.
Already renewed for a fourth and final season, Silo continues its run as a major global sci-fi drama, building on the first two seasons now streaming on Apple TV.
