Channel 4 has announced the commission of a gripping eight-part mystery thriller, I.D. (wt) from actor and writer, Genevieve Barr
The story revolves around Emily, a young deaf woman who catches her neighbor photographing her. This prompts her to consider what she may have done to merit this unwanted attention while also starting a dance with a stranger that is both thrilling and risky. I.D. is a love letter to being deaf, and it sends Emily hurtling toward her past.
Creator, Genevieve Barr, said "I.D. is a journey into who we are and how people view us. Eleven gave it a home when I was starting out and I'm delighted we've found it a broadcaster with Channel 4 who are pathfinders in fearless and inclusive storytelling. It is a privilege to be living and breathing this deaf-led series with this team."
